GMP goes Windows 10, ein Quickguide.

Vorweg, nach gut 2 Stunden Tüftelei, Anstrengung und Verzweiflung ist es mir nun gelungen Gothic 2 DNdR/GMP lauffähig zu bekommen. Damit euch Frust erspart bleibt hier meine kleine Schrittliste wie es wohl zu machen ist.

1. Gothic 2 lauffähig bekommen :

Zu aller Erst zieht ihr euch idealerweise von einem Win 7 Rechner eine fertige multiplayerfähige Version von Gothic 2 mit Patch 2.6 + Hotfix und GMPA-R 10. Wie genau ihr die zurechtlegt steht hier.

Spielt nun eure gesamten Daten aus dem Gothic 2-Ordner in einen selbst angelegten Jowood (GMP) Ordner auf den Win 10 Rechner. Dies ermögtlicht GMP einen direkteren Zugriff zu euren Daten. Falls ihr keinen Win 7 Rechner besitzt, kein Beinbruch, aber die Installation überhaupt gestartet zu bekommen von G2 mit DNdR wird wohl mehrere Anläufe und Nerven kosten.

Als nächstes werdet ihr euch nun das Systempack 1.6 aus dem Link hier herunterladen. 1.7 besitzt leider einen ungelösten HP-Bug der bei Unterschreitung eines HP-Wertes zu dauerhaften Abstürzen und DC's im Multiplayer führt. Für Leute die sich gegen das Systempack streuben, habe ich derzeit keine Alternative. Kein Kompatibilitätsmodus oder Fenstermodusstart erlaubte es mir Gothic 2 ohne abgehacktes oder fehlerhaftes Bild zu starten, selbst nach mehreren Anläufen und raustabben.

Hier wählt ihr nun das g2notr-systempack 1.6 aus. Nach Download führt ihr die erhaltene .exe aus und installiert sie in euren G2/GMP-Verzeichnis. Integriert sind ein Breitbildpatch der höhere Auflösung ermöglicht, ein Kompatibilitätspatch sowie die Auflösung des FPS Caps und Polycaps.

2. Anpassung an den GMP :

Die meiste Arbeit hier wird in den .INI's eures Gothic 2/GMP-Ordners stattfinden. Diese findet ihr in eurem System-Ordner, nachdem ihr euer Jowood-Verzeichnis aufgerufen habt. Ich lege hier meine komplette .INI für Gothic 2/GMP offen, enthalten sind folgende Bugfixes/Änderung :

-Erhöhung der Speicherkapazität für längeres Spielen, speziell fürs Schmieden oder anderer AFK Berufe ausgelegt
-Himmelsanpassung sowie Behebung des "gelbe Himmel"-Bugs. Zudem wirkt der Himmel hier etwas angegrauter für bessere G1 Atmosphäre (Werte stammen von Asghan/Branden,danke dafür).
-Freischaltung des First-Person-Modus auch in Anis, hauptsächlich für Screens oder Sichtbarkeitsabschätzung im RP
-Umstellung der INVCAT Order (Inventarreihenfolge), Tränke lagern nun ganz unten damit diese nicht aus Versehen getrunken werden
-Deaktivierung vieler Detailoptionen sowie Antialiasing für weniger Byteaufbau im Spiel
-Mininmalsicht auf der Taste F1 für weniger Byteaufbau während einer AFK Tätigkeit
-erhellter Fokus für Items.
-veränderter Kampffokus mit aufgehellten Zielen+Quadrat um ihnen

Individuell angepasst werden muss von euch die Spielauflösung sowie die Helligkeit des Spiels. Diese schwanken natürlich von PC zu PC.

Dazu wird noch in der Systempack-.INI das Scaling der Schriftgröße auf 1 zu 0.5 angepasst, für eine gute Sichtbarkeit und angenehmere Größe der Spielschrift.

3. Ingame :

Durch den Breitbildpatch kam es zumindest bei mir zu einer Verschiebung des Chats. Die Anpassung der Zeilenlänge empfehle ich also. Falls weitere Probleme auftreten werde ich diese versuchen zu lösen und ggf. ergänzen
